Party Top
by Josh Rocker
published Friday, November 9, 2007

Josh Rocker looks high and low through San Francisco's club scene for the elusive big top.
(excerpt from a review of Club Party Monster San Francisco)

Inside the holy of holies, a mohawked and tatted DJ spun everything from Human League's
new wave classic "Don't You Want Me" to a stripped down version of Le Tigre's "Deceptacon"
for costumed dancers and posed queens reclining on couch beds. "Party Monster" played on TV
screens around the room.

Josh Rocker, club columnist for Gay.com and a San Francisco-based entertainment
writer for the last seven years, has covered art, music, film and nightlife for
such publications as the Oakland Tribune, SF Weekly, Bay Guardian, East Bay Express and MacAddict.
